Today, Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, has passed away as addressed on the Apple website -

http://www.apple.com/stevejobs/

I am not what you would call a huge fan of Apple itself but their iOS platform has, obviously, taken off like wildfire and spread across the globe in ways that not even Steve Jobs himself could have fathomed.

Awhile back we lost a visionary in publishing in Bill "The Game Doctor" Kunkel, today, we have lost a visionary of technology.

Deep down we all knew it was coming, but it still was a huge shock when I read it.

Very sad news. As someone else already said on a different site, he was our Thomas Edison and will be looked back on as someone who revolutionized a huge chunk of the technology sector. Probably a lot more than we realize right now.

On a personal level, he's responsible for letting me enjoy my computer again when I switched to Mac, after years of hating having to fight my old system all the time.

So much bad news as of late.  Cry
