It's seems the good people at Filesonic have been scared away from offering the service that we actually payed for.

The site has now implemented a system where file sharing is impossible without having the login data.

Giving out the login details to the public is naturally a big no-no since that opens up the door to have everything deleted by trolls.

But fear not. Steps are already underway to find a new solution.

Shouldn't take more than a day or so if all goes well.

Yeah, but what are you gonna do about it? :-/

Funny how they can just use the old bait & switch when they feel like it.
The dumb part is that they shouldn't have anything to fear if they operate in a transparant way and do everything by the book.
Something which according to those FBI files MegaUpload failed to do, to say the very least.
Going as far as to keep files online for themselves even though they had been flagged as copyright infringements.
So it's not much of a surprise they were cracked down upon.

The file sharing platforms that do things by the book shouldn't have anything to worry about, yet MU's actions and the consequences seemed to have scared quite a few others into tucking their tails between their legs and basically ripping off the people that paid them for the use of a certain kind of service, which has now been revoked even though we won't get our money back.

Just a small update.
The restoring of the online catalogue is going smoothly after a hiccup this morning.
Everything should be back online around 6PM CET I figure, unless we run into anymore trouble.
Will keep you posted. Wink

3 hours earlier than our estimations I'm happy to be able to announce that everything is back up and working.

If you do come across a file that has any problems, just let us know.

Get 'em while they're hot! Wink
