Funny thing happened this past week.
A buddy from work picked me up at home since it was supposed to rain that day.
On our way to work I heard this incredible tune coming from his car stereo, so I asked what it was called.
Now, he has a reputation for having very different taste in music and movies than just about anyone we know, so it startled me how quickly the song connected with me, giving me goosebumps after only 10 seconds.
He told me the band is called The xx and that the only had one CD out so far.
So back home later that night, I looked up their website:
http://thexx.info/After listening to all three songs on their site, I went to iTunes and bought the album for only €6,50.
Been listening to it all week long.
Not sure how I would have to describe the sound. It's soft, dreamlike and has somewhat of a dark undertone, combined with the lyrics and the unique delivery of them, they just click for me.
